Prostitution

under Illinois Statute 720 ILCS 5/11-14

Any person who performs, offers or agrees to perform any act of sexual penetration for any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value, or any touching or fondling of the sex organs of one person by another person, for any money, property, token, object, or article or anything of value, for the purpose of sexual arousal or gratification commits an act of prostitution.

Prostitution is a Class A Misdemeanor punishable by up to 364 days in the County jail and a fine up to $2,500. A person convicted of a second or subsequent violation is guilty of a Class 4 Felony punishable by 1 to 3 years in the State penitentiary and a fine up to $25,000.

A person who violates this law within 1,000 feet of real property comprising a school commits a Class 4 Felony punishable by 1 to 3 years in the State penitentiary and a fine up to $25,000.
